Road To Vegas Formula E $1,000,000 eSports Event – Finalists Confirmed

With the Road to Vegas – $1,000,000 eSport event fast approaching, the international qualifying rounds are now completed, five of the ten finalists heading to Las Vegas in January will be from the formidable sim racing team, Team Redline! Three of the team hail from Finland and include former world champion iRacer, Greger Huttu, Olli Pahkala and Aleksi Ussi Jaakkola. The remaining two team members, Enzo Bonito from Italy and Bono Huis of The Netherlands, round out the five Team Redline sim racers. Another famous member of Team Redline is current Red Bull Formula One driver, Max Verstappen.

The guys along with their five fellow sim racers will pit their sim racing talents against the full field of 20 pro Formula E drivers for the world’s largest eSports sim racing prize to date!

This is the first of a series of articles that will follow the event from the perspective of the competitors themselves! Olli, Greger and Aleksi as well as their manager, Dom Duhan, will be providing us with good insight coming directly from Las Vegas! Equipment and Software:

All of the competitors will have the use of Playseat racing simulators running rFactor 2 software. Cloud Sport will be on hand to ensure the competition is correctly regulated, guaranteeing as much realism as possible. The sim racers mentioned below are now guaranteed a minimum of $20,000 for taking part in the richest eRace in history, which takes place at the CES in Vegas on January 7.
