RaceRoom players can’t complain about not getting enough content in the last couple of weeks.
Sector3 Studios has released yet another car for RaceRoom, the BMW M6 GT3. RaceRoom is therefore the first game ever to feature this car.
The Car
The M6 GT3 was developed as a successor to the BMW Z4 GT3, which was widely popular in the sim-racing community.
The M6 is powered by a 4.4 litre V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology, putting out up to 585 horsepower. Interesting fact, this is a modified version of the same engine used in the road-going 6-series M cars.
The car itself weighs less than 1,300 kilograms and meets all the standards for being able to participate in all the major endurance races, e.g. 24 Hours of Spa and Nürburgring, 12 Hours of Bathurst, and all the major GT series, e.g. VLN, ADAC GT Masters, Blancpain GT Series, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Japanese Super GT Championship, Australian GT Championship.
Whilst still being rather new, the BMW M6 GT3 has already won the 24 Hours of Spa in 2016 and most likely, there are more victories to come.
Billy Strange already did a test drive with the car on Anderstorp Raceway, which you can check out here.
Anderstorp Raceway is yet to be released, as are the KTM X-BOW GT4, the Volvo S60 Polestar TC1 and Mantorp Park. These are at least the upcoming releases we currently know of.
