Project CARS 2 – More Cars Teased

Project CARS 2 Fairlady Fuji

With Project CARS 2 due to release at the end of this year, Slightly Mad Studios is using social media to keep the hype train rolling for the remaining time. This mostly involves the teasing of content available in the upcoming “Gran Turismo killer”. Here are some examples from the last couple of days.

Nissan Fairlady 240ZG GTS-II (1973)

The race-spec Fairlady is famous for being greatly successful in the Japanese, annual, five-round “Fuji Grand Champion” series, taking place solely at the Fuji Speedway.

With an inline 6.3 litre engine producing 300 BHP at 7600 RPM it was the car that was able to beat the Ferraris, McLarens and Lolas at Fuji. A write up on the car and Fuji can be found below on the official Project CARS website.

“Godzilla”

5 days ago, The official Project CARS Instagram account posted an in-game shot of the 2017 Nissan GTR Nismo, nicknamed “Godzilla”. The #projectCARS2 hints that this will be in drivable in-game.

Equipped with all-wheel drive and a twin-turbo v6 engine boasting 600 HP, a 0 – 60 time of under 2.7 seconds and a top speed of over 193 mph, the Nissan is one of the faster, if not one of the fastest “affordable” road cars out there.

Nissan GTP ZX-Turbo

After making its way into iRacing last September, the official Project CARS Twitter account announced that the Nissan GTP ZX-Turbo will be available in Project CARS 2 as well. For more information on the car check out the article regarding the availability in iRacing.

But I think you would agree with me when I say that although being awesome, a single IMSA GTP Series winning car will not make for any diverse racing action, so maybe, there is more to come in this respect.

Ford GT LM GTE-Pro

The Le Mans winning Ford GT LM GTE-Pro, which could be seen in some screenshots already, has now also been confirmed through Twitter. Up until now, the car was only available in Forza Motorsport .

Notice something? Correct, nearly all cars mentioned are Nissans, so maybe there is a big collaboration ahead? Or this just hints to a stronger focus on Japanese market? Either way there is still lots to come.
